HON. MONA QUARTEY

Hon. Mona Quartey is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in treasury, risk management, and corporate finance.  She has served with and advised various large corporate institutions, small to medium-sized enterprises, government ministries, and state-owned enterprises. She is adept at raising equity and credit for sponsors across Africa, Europe, and North America. Her landmark transaction involved a vital role in the ‘Initial Public Offer’ of Ashanti Goldfields, as Group Treasurer, on the London, Ghana and, subsequently, the New York Stock Exchanges. As an immediate past Deputy Minister of Finance for the Republic of Ghana in charge of Economic Strategy and Revenue, her support in recording considerable growth for the Ghanaian finance sector didn't go unnoticed. Currently, she is a Managing Partner of BVM Advisory Services and serves on a number of local and international Boards, including Golden Star Resources in Canada. She has been an inspiration to women in Ghana and has blazed the trail by striving to upgrade the status of women in Ghana through charting a new path and opening up opportunities for Ghanaian women and children.  Mona was inducted in the Global Women Leaders Hall of Fame in December 2017.
